Common questions

FAQ

Do I need a Claude account?
Yes. Sextant is a productivity layer for claude.ai. You need an active Claude.ai account (free or paid) for it to work. Sextant augments your existing Claude experience; it does not replace it.
Will it slow down claude.ai?
No. Sextant runs as a separate window and uses observation patterns that don't interfere with claude.ai's performance. The detection runs in the background and adds essentially no latency to your conversations.
What browsers are supported?
Chrome 120 or later, and any Chromium-based browser supporting Manifest V3 (Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera). Firefox and Safari are not currently supported.
Is there a free version?
No. We offer a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. After the trial, the extension requires an active subscription. We chose this model deliberately — it ensures we serve serious users rather than spreading thin across casual installs.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and remain active until the end of the current billing period. Annual subscriptions can be cancelled with a full refund within 14 days of purchase.
Why no Pro tier?
Because tiered pricing creates artificial friction. Either a feature is worth shipping or it isn't. Single-tier means no upsells, no "this feature requires Pro" walls, no decision fatigue. One price, everything included.
Is my data sent anywhere?
Conversation metadata stays in your browser's local storage. The only network calls Sextant makes are: (1) verification of your subscription status with our Cloudflare Worker, and (2) when you explicitly use AI features, prompts route directly between your browser and Anthropic. We never see your conversation content.

SoafAii Sextant is built by Business Innovation Solutions WLL (Bahrain), part of the SoafAii ecosystem of AI infrastructure tools. We're a small team focused on building tools we use ourselves daily.
